CHILD & TEEN COUNSELLING

Children, youth, and adolescents experience the world differently from adults. Children and youth in particular experience a lot of “firsts” on a regular basis and since they’re still learning how to process their feelings, these experiences are overwhelming.

MARRIAGE & RELATIONSHIP COUNSELLING

No relationship is without its unique challenges. There are always bumps in the road – some big, some small – that must be dealt with. Lots of these issues can worsen if there is a lack of productive communication.

PSYCHOLOGICAL ASSESSMENT

A psychological evaluation is often thought of as the first line of defence in diagnosing and treating a mental health condition. Performed by our psychologist, it helps us gain an understanding of the severity and duration of the patients symptoms.

The symptoms of grief are problematic if you’ve been experiencing them for a prolonged time or they are severe enough to affect your daily life – eating sleeping, working, etc. for an extended time.

ANGER & EMOTIONAL MANAGEMENT

Our process starts by identifying and treating the origins of the anger – the messages about self and the world that cause it. Then, using our unique approach we remove them.

We will actively listen to fully understand and genuinely empathize with people’s experiences. Responding in service and advocacy for each individual, each group or community, and for society as a whole.

Reliable & Recommended

The word reliable comes from the French word relier, which means “to link” or “attach.” We see reliability as being an organization you could lean on and trust.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do you offer direct billing?

We provide digital receipts that make it easy to submit to benefits providers. Please check with your provider for individual coverage.

Do I need a doctor’s referral?

No, you don’t need a doctor’s referral for any of our services. You can book any appointment online or give us a call to make your booking.

How do I find the best fit with a counsellor?

Finding the right fit is important. We are happy to book a brief phone consult with one of our counsellors to help you find the right fit.

How should I prepare for the first appointment?

Meeting someone new for the first time can feel uncomfortable. The first session is typically structured to review consent, learn a bit more about you, and journey in your story. Some clients prefer to guide the conversation but we are happy to ask open ended questions that will help guide the conversation as well.
