I am passionate about music and spent many years in vocal and piano lessons. I have been in countless performances, competitions, and recitals over the years. I like all styles of music and can find something I like in almost any song that I hear, even if I don’t particularly like the song!
I love dogs and hope to one day find a four-legged best friend that would be suitable to be trained as a therapy dog to assist my clients on their journey.
“Hot” temperatures suit me best; summer months, hot baths, hot coffee, spicy food… these are a few of my favourite things!
My therapeutic training thus far has included Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Solution Focused Therapy, Trauma-Informed Care, and introductory level Hakomi Somatic Psychotherapy.
My goal is to create a safe, inclusive, and non-judgmental space for each individual to share their story. I strive to welcome individuals of any background, ability, faith, gender identity, sexual orientation, and race. I have experience working with children, teens, adults, and families both within school and community settings.
I follow a person centered approach, utilizing a variety of tools and strategies from different therapeutic orientations based on my client’s needs. I am passionate about working with individuals going through significant life transitions, and I believe the client is the expert of their own experience. Using compassion and authenticity, my focus is to create a strong alliance with my client, so they have space to grow and use their strengths to achieve a meaningful life
