I welcome the opportunity to journey together with client’s in a safe space with shared knowledge and hope. From my own growth and healing journey, I understand that it takes courage to open up and allow room for our pain and growth, and to move towards creating a desired life. My life experiences allow me to offer counselling support with integrity, empathy, and a compassionate presence to assist clients in engaging in their own courageous journey.
In specific trauma work, I utilize my training in Trauma Regulation and Integration Process (TRIP), EMDR Therapy, Trauma-Informed Care, Grief Work, and Introductory Hakomi.
My specialized training includes EMDR Therapy, Trauma-Informed Care, TRIP Therapy, Grief Work, and Introductory Hakomi.
Counseling modalities I work within include Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Psychodynamic Therapy, Family Systems Therapy, EMDR Therapy and integrated aspects of other therapy models to suit a client’s unique and personal needs.
I offer support in areas such as anxiety, adjustment, moral injury, loss and grief, depression, self-esteem, relational concerns, and spiritual support. I enjoy working with tweens, adolescents, young adults, adults, and senior adults.
In my leisure time I enjoy being with my family, singing, writing, and discovery travel adventures. I also enjoy volunteering at equine therapy events and with Victim Services. I appreciate these wise words by Leo Buscaglia, “Too often we underestimate the power of a touch, a smile, a kind word, a listening ear, an honest compliment, or the smallest act of caring, all of which have the potential to turn a life around.”
